The Dodd-Frank recession has been ongoing for almost two years. There are fears of a double dip recession but since we really haven’t climbed out of the current one, these fears are premature. All of this, in spite of passing a stimulus bill in excess of $862 billion on top of TARP bailouts. A second [...]

A review of Nancy Young Wright’s website is very revealing. She lists ten issues and here is the gist of what she says: Budget: “. . . She will push to protect funding for education . . .Businesses want a strong educational system . . .We must plan and provide for schools, parks and other [...]

Alberta H. Charney, in the Eller College of Management Spring economic report, wrote an article, “What Will It Cost If Voters Reject the One-Cent Sales Tax Hike?” The article is a textbook piece propaganda. Charney stated that passing the sales tax will raise about $1 billion annually (taking it from the private sector) But, she [...]

Arizona Senator John Kyl. Here is one guy in Wash. D.C. who makes some sense. He has been trying to inject some sense into this awful health care bill, but this has been very hard to do with the Democrats and their closed door sessions.

Dr. Roy Spencer and other leading climate scientists (“‘Cap and Trade’ or ‘Cap and Tax,’” American Commentaries, 6/28/09) must feel vindicated at the news revealing that a group of scientists in England and America conspired to manufacture “global warming” as a world wide menace. Unfortunately for the “good” climate scientists, climate science died at East [...]

The unemployment rate dropped by two tenths of one percent and President Obama claimed victory. This shows just how clueless he is when it concerns his understanding of basic economics. Add to the mix that 300,000 people just stopped looking for work and the two tenths of one per cent drop becomes a rounding error. [...]

Jan Brewer finally filed her statement of organization to indicate she is running for Governor next term. The question is will she have the support of the Republican Party? In my last commentary on Governor Brewer, I wrote, “. . . Governor Brewer may be Governor but she is not actively leading Arizona to a [...]

IMHO Do Reid and Pelosi really Think All Americans are Stupid? Simple enough question and a very simple answer, YES! Case in point, the Public Option or whatever you want to call it. It was originally rolled out in HR3200 as the Government Option. But that quickly was dropped as it sounded too socialistic. Next came [...]

Governor Jan Brewer’s “reactive” mode of behavior is puzzling. She stated Arizona businesses may have to wait longer than 2012 for the tax cuts she promised. Why? In front of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, Governor Brewer complained that the legislature refused to adopt her plan to ask the voters for a temporary sales tax [...]
